Now that the Time Person of the Year has been announced this thread has new meaning. In case you missed it, Mayor Guilani
(sp?..I'm a TX grl) of NY is the 2001 Person of the Year. With all he did to lead NY, as well as America through the tough times following 9/11 I think he is a good choice.

However, pre-9/11 I would selected Houston Mayor Lee. P. Brown, who I guess would have really been person of the last 2 or 3 years because he has REALLY help revitalize our downtown..believe me it needed it.

Now, I suppose I support Time Magazine's selection. Rudy G. was such a great leader throughout this tragedy..and didn't he just make George W. look like a schlump?
