Assignment Editors and City Desks aren't mind readers. That's why it's so important to get the word out. It's a no brainer to call the cops and fire departments every day -- but why in the world would anyone ever call Phi Kappa Tau?

I could conceivably have let a friend of mine at the Today Show Assignment Desk know, but by the time I read the first post, the event was already over. That's too late.
