They were assured the movie wouldn't be shown in the U.S. and their identities wouldn't be revealed. They signed the release after heavy drinking. Then they were encouraged to continue drinking.
If they were indeed misled, that would be typical of a prankster. Maybe the movie producers should've done what Girls Gone Wild does and allow people to call in the next day and refuse to be shown or whatever--or maybe not. They weren't too drunk to remember that they were told the movie wouldn't be released in the U.S and their identities wouldn't be revealed. So I imagine they weren't too drunk to watch their words altogether and/or decline any type of participation.
