I don't think they should be "allowed" to do anything. I don't think killing a guy that murdered thousands of people is "shameful" one bit.....neither is, for example, executing a serial murderer who butchers women left and right. Maybe I just don't find it appealing to let the guy sit in prison with free meals and a bed to sleep in every night.
