Apparently MTV's doing a similar Laguna Beach-esque reality show in my neck of the woods. I'm not sure where they'd film it or what neighborhood they'd target because I can't think of any that's as affluent as LB. Plus, it's boring over here.

I already know what kind of idiots they'll showcase -- kids of 1960s/1970s hippies who never left. Not necessarily "Hawaiian" or local looking...but the bleached blond/blue eyed surfer type. Way to promote true Hawaii, MTV.

The article does state, however, that ratings have slipped...but the cast will be returning for a 4th (their senior year) season. Just grrrreat.
