Erin Blankenship and Nicholas Phelps were named Homecoming Queen and King

"Erin is the 21-year-old daughter of Charles and Debbie Blankenship of Russell Springs, Kentucky. She is the 2003 graduate of Russell County High School and is currently a senior at UK majoring in psychology. Erin is currently serving as President of UK’s Panhellenic Council and is a proud member of Chi Omega sorority. Erin was awarded “Greek Women of the Year” in the Spring of 2006 and is active in expanding the success of the Greek community at UK. After graduation in May, Erin plans to obtain a master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and pursue a career in corporate personnel consulting. Erin is sponsored by Chi Omega Sorority."

"Nicholas is the son of David and Debbie Phelps of Goshen, Kentucky. He is a 2004 graduate of South Oldham High School. Currently a junior at the university majoring in economics and finance, Nick is involved in numerous organizations throughout campus. He was the first sophomore ever elected Senate President of Student Government and while serving on SG, helped start Channel 50, UK’s own on-campus programming channel. He serves on Dance Blue’s executive board and is currently President of Sigma Chi Fraternity. Nick served as an intern for Senator Mitch McConnell this past summer and plans to attend law school after graduation. Nick is sponsored by Chi Omega Sorority."
