I agree with Peppy, in that already having a recent violation should suggest hyper vigilence.

People need to realize that they cannot take chances like this anymore. Many GLOs have strict no-alcohol policies, and (informal) policies regarding pledges/members in training. It's all about common sense here.

If you are going to 1. break the law, 2. disobey NPC or nationals's guidelines, and 3. disobey campus guidelines (even if the event happened off-campus, it being sponsored puts the situation in a very controversial jurisdiction situation), you have to be nuts to do it in a public place. Not that I advocate doing it in a private place, but have these people no sense at all?

Everyone should be patted-down for these events, or prohibited/discouraged from drinking underage and/or at formal AND informal chapter events. I am no goody-goody and by no means innocent, but anything you do these days, especially if you are in a GLO, is being watched.

THIS is how Greeks get the reputation. Sorry, I am just very frustrated that after all these years, deaths, hospitalizations, accidents, etc., this still happens.
