Hooray!

I am so glad, Lisa that you received a response, and perhaps closure to your past situations as an undergraduate!

I am very glad that you have found us to be a support system for you and that you are re-involved with AGD, we willl always be here for you at GC.

I hope that IHQ does take that letter to heart and that they realize from this incident how important it is to keep up with Chapters. I always say, your foundations (local Chapters) have to be solid in order for Nationals to be successful. As an association employee, I have seen how important it is to have successful groups at the local levels. I know that your experiences as an undergraduate will help the Chapter that you are currently involved with inmensly and so at least one positive thing has come out of all of that heart ache.

Thanks for being so courageous, when I think of you, I think of a few lines in our purpose "that those who know me may esteem Alpha Gamma Delta for her attainments, revere her for her purposes and love her for her womanhood". Why? I revere you for your purpose in your undergraduate Chapter, and your purpose has been to show us in AGD how important it is to value and be faithful to this line of our purpose: "To honor my home, my country, my religious faith."
Lisa, although this experience at the undergraduate chapter brought you much pain and sorrow, it was God's way of proving us at AGD with a lesson. Think of yourself as a 'great one' in AGD like one of those great ones throughout history, like Martin Luther King or someone like that. Your purpose in that Chapter was to show them and the rest of AGD how important it really is to "honor one's religious faith" (although I am personally not much of a religious person) and how important it is to ensure that everyone throughout AGD is honoring everyone else's religious faith. For those ladies out there that gave you a difficult time, NOTICE that it does not say "to honor ___ faith, BUT to honor one's religious faith" WHICH EVER FAITH THAT MAY BE! (and if they have a problem with that, they should have joined another organization more specific to their religious beliefs.)

One of the reasons to join AGD is tolerance and understanding of other's beliefs, which ever those may be!

I am going to start saving money so that I can go to the next convention. I hope to be able to meet you there. Take care,
AGD love, Jeannine
