Mine is still attached to my husband's fraternity pin. He had a chapter guard on his pin before he gave it to me, but it wasn't common in our chapter to wear a guard. I think the president had a guard with a gavel, but that was it (but my memory isn't as good as it used to be either!) I don't remember dangles at all.

I don't remember if AOPi's had their badges attached to their sweetie's pin or not....but that was the custom at our campus. You went downtown to the jeweler the day after the pinning and he soldered them together on a chain. Pinnings were a big deal--most did candle passing, we passed candy and only did candle passing for engagements. Then everyone went to a certain bar after chapter.

I suppose I should have them separated in case he ever wants to wear it again. On NPC Badge day last year, I wore both of them.
