You really didn't miss anything. No one had him. He hadn't been kidnapped. He was embarrassed about his mom's 487th botched wedding and so he "ran away" - he didn't want to face the ridicule he thought he'd get at school. I don't remember many of the details except that he went to some pro baseball game or something.
He walked in the door during the middle of Sami and Lucas pleading for help in finding him... was like, "What's going on?" It was pretty anticlimactic (although, it was definitely the most believable story resolution DAYS has had in a while
).
