TYSON HIT WITH SLUG RAP

December 18, 2001 -- An ex-Golden Gloves boxer claims Mike Tyson gave him a beating after he poked fun at the former champ's posse of women.
Mitchell Rose yesterday filed a complaint with police, charging Tyson with assault in front of the Sugar Hill Disco and Restaurant in Brooklyn. Cops were investigating, but had pressed no charges as of last night.
The melee occurred early Sunday, after Iron Mike and his entourage had sipped champagne at the club, at 609 DeKalb Ave. in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
Rose told The Post that as Tyson left, Rose quipped, "Look at Tyson. Jesus, this guy likes to talk to chickenheads!" That's an unflattering term for women.
"He heard that and it infuriated him. He came charging at me and grabbed me by the neck," said Rose, who added Tyson ripped his $5,000 mink coat and injured his neck.
Tyson's lawyer, Darrow Soll, said interviews with witnesses prove Tyson is innocent.
But Rose is firm. "It was total disrespect. He overreacted to one little lousy joke. I told Mike, ‘If you want to start a holy war, so be it,' " he said.
Just 12 hours after the Brooklyn bust-up, Tyson was seen strolling Manhattan with his sister Jackie, when he gave the thrill of a lifetime to a 15-year- old boy selling M&Ms.
Stephen Smith of The Bronx couldn't believe it when Tyson approached him outside the Trump International Hotel, handed him $100 for one pack and told him to keep the change.
