I checked out the mention of Parents Clubs in old Pledge Books, and there was no real information of guidelines or such. What they did leave me to believe was that PCs are almost like Alumnae Associations, but only concentrating on that one particular chapter.

Say that Omega Omega's living room needs to be painted, and their Housing Corporation has that very low on the list. The PC could work with the Housing Corp. to get it painted faster. Or if one of the parents can get a better deal on insurance (paint, furniture) than the Housing Corporation can, they can work with the HC. Some PC's have provided elegant parties at their homes or on their yachts or such.

Of course, this is NOT an official viewpoint; this is what I've gathered, and I could be very wrong on this. I think I would start by the usual getting to know each other, having punch & cookies (or such) and possibly having members of the AA and HC there, as contacts. Then together, see what they, as adults who are concerned with the well-being of the chapter, can do. If you have a definite goal, set one! If you're weak in an area, this is the time to correct that weakness (no place to hold a formal, no RMH locally but needing a philanthropy, etc). If nothing else, get the parents involved in saving pop tops. But don't let them leave without some feeling of purpose!

Good luck!
