Two of my favorite parties were held off-campus. One was at a park so you piled into a car with another girl and 2-3 of the sorority members and drove there which really helped in getting to know them personally. The Pref party was held in a beautiful mansion off campus also which made it more elegant than one of the "meeting rooms" on campus.
