I was told that the 2-social rule was a national one, but then, who knows? I was just wondering because it seems that all the other sororities are going out to date parties and mixers all the time while we're sitting at home on Friday and Saturday nights twiddling our thumbs. We're not on social probation to my knowledge, so maybe...ah, well.
As for the letters, I've been through four initiations including my own and we were never told what our letters stood for. Ever. I know why our colors are pink and green and what the writing on our crest means, but the letters? Nah. I'm going to see if I can get hold of a ritual book and try to find it...it's hard to get access to those things as we're not allowed in the office, but it's a shame that I have these letters sewn to my shirt and no clue what they mean.
