I don't see anything wrong with it. It's his money--if he wanted to pay by cash, check, credit card , money order, whatever, then he can. Who cares what the world thinks.
I personally prefer to pay with CASH OR CHECK because I don't like credit cards.
I wouldn't be embarrassed. I have no time to sit and worry about what "The Joneses" think about me because I don't do things the same way that they do.
I do have to agree with CkretCrush--I wouldn't walk around with that much $$ on my person.
Just my opinion.
