As for Mississippi St. they played for the SEC championship a few years back.

As for you, Kevin...
I'm not disagreeing, in that other conferences may have better top teams (although I don't agree this year). However, you're comparing teams that are simple not comparable. For example, Auburn is better than Oklahoma. Theres no evidence that Texas is better than LSU. Lets for a moment say that Texas is better than the best team in the SEC (there is no evidence to say this, but I don't mind the assumption). That being said, lets look at the second team you listed, Oklahoma. Its likely that Auburn, LSU, UT, UF, UGA and Alabama could all compete with OU. Simply saying that UGA is better than A&M is misleading, because in reality UGA is probably MUCH better than A&M. UF would absolutely destroy Iowa State. At best, the Big 12 has 4 seriously competitive teams this year, being UT, OU, Nebraska and TT. Meanwhile, the SEC has UT, UF, AU, UGA and LSU who could all feasibly make a BCS game. Alabama is also fairly good, and could likely play with all of the Big 12 top 4 with the exception of UT.
I can't believe you would call me a GDI. I said the top 4 or 5 would compete with the top 4 or 5 in the SEC. Do I think the entire Big XII Conference would be totally competeitive with the entire SEC? I dunno. There are equally mediocre and bad teams in both.

Tennessee is nothing more than a decent football team, nowhere close to feasibly making a BCS......leave that to Auburn and LSU.

I guess if you want to argue conferences...I guess you could look up bowl game appearances and wins......I know last year we were better than anybody....don't really care to look up anything else.
