When I was a senior in college, I hosted a girl from the University of Otogo. She and 30 other Maori students were on exchange for 6 weeks at UHM. When we sent them off at the airport, these students did a
haka for us to show their appreciation. Most of us were in tears and had goosebumps because it was *THAT* moving. Needless to say, I could tell it freaked out a bunch of tourists not familiar with the
haka.
Our Warrior football team performs a
haka before and after each game.
