I love Folly too—it's true that the beach itself isn't as nice as those on the Gulf Coast, but it's not nearly as overdeveloped as Gulf Shores, Panama City, Fort Walton, etc. The Holliday Inn (2 L's) isn't fancy by any means, but it's clean, but you won't be staying in your motel room a lot anyway. Eat at Café Suzanne's while you're there.
