I wasn't impressed with anything except Hype winning the Vanguard Award and the tribute to him. Actually, I was only half impressed by the tribute because the VH1 Hip Honors always impress me more than the VMAs.
The show was terrible, and I flipped to it every 30 or so minutes. How can anything be good if Chamillonaire could win for best Hip Hop Video? What??? I never thought the show was rigged until then. So next year's winner will have to be that "Chicken Noodle Soup" then, right?
I think T.I. was trying to clean up the performance of 'What You Know' on the BET Awards by redoing it on the VMAs. That was pointless to perform the same song on two different awards. But I did like the crown on his hoodie.
