I had asked God last night to please give me a sign on what I should do, because I was truly stuck. Well, I think His sign was to give me this bid from Germany. I knew I wouldn't feel comfortable in this house and that it wasn't for me, and I think this was His way of showing me I shouldn't be in a sorority right now. (sorry to those who aren't christian) Thank you all for your support and kind words, it really helped me along. I gave each sorority a fair try, but in the end, I just know that this house is not where I should be. I might give recruitment a shot next year--I'm going to really build up my resume this year, get involved, make grades, and go out and meet people and get my name out there. I had a good but stressful week, and I think what I need right now is just some ice cream and time to start getting ready for classes. Recruitment was an experience, and it's just going to help me grow. Like they say, "what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. "
I don't know why you were told SIP would kick you out of recruitment. It would have disqualified you to be a quota addition, but you would have been eligible for COB. Now you are ineligible for recruitment until next Fall.

I'm sorry things didn't turn out the way you wanted. My advice to you would be to give the house a week - you aren't out anything if you do this and you have everything to gain.
