Alpha Chi Omega- During recruitment, I was initally drawn to AChiO because of their history in the college of music, and of course being a feminist, I like that they support victims of domestic violence. AChiO has one of the prettiest badges in the NPC!

Alpha Delta Pi- ADPi is very cool. I like that their letters represent each phase of membership (Alpha=NM, represents the beginning; Delta=collegiate, represents change; Pi=alumna, the number pi goes on forever). I wonder if that was intentional or accidental, since their original greek letters where Alpha Delta Phi, whichI presume came from the word "Adelphean." I like that they have "prides." One of my good friends is an ADPi at her school, and the ADPis at my school are very down-to-earth. I prefed here.

Alpha Epsilon Phi- Ruth Bader Ginsburg is an AEPhi, and I love to see women in power!

Alpha Gamma Delta- I like the "stoplight" letters that some chapters wear.

Alpha Omicron Pi- Lots of girls from my HS are AOPis at my school.

Alpha Phi- I like their Red Dress campaign. After all, heart disease is the number one killer of women!

Alpha Sigma Alpha-I like that everything is in twos or fours. Four exemplars, four colors, four points on the badge, four aims, two jewels (for NMs and initiated members), two flowers (fall and spring).

Alpha Sigma Tau- I found out that one of my favorite English teachers from high school is an AST.

Alpha Xi Delta- We don't have AXiD at my school anymore, BUT they still own their house. They actually let female transfer students live there. I hope they come back in the near future! 3 women in my SK fam are AXiD legacies; sometimes we joke that we're the AXiD legacy fam.

Chi Omega- After 8th grade, I met this girl at summer camp named Allyson, who looks EXACTLY like my friend Celia from home. I keep in touch with both of them (they go to different schools and have never met), but I thought it was funny that they both joined ChiO.

Delta Delta Delta- Yeah for New England-founded sororities, especially BU! I like that TriDelt's founders wanted to create a society that would focus on a woman's character instead of outward appearance. Their badge is also very pretty.

Delta Gamma- I prefed here. The DGs at my school are very diverse and chill. I liked their preference ceremony with the orchid leis, and I gather that a lot of DG chapters do that. I also like the anchor/nautical theme that they have going. Whenever they have grilled cheese sales, they make at least $500 for their philanthropy each time they have a sale, and rightfully so, because they make the best damned grilled cheese in town.

Delta Phi Epsilon- Esse quam videri- To be rather than seem to be. Can't get much more real than that.

Delta Zeta- Pretty colors!

Gamma Phi Beta- They were founded nationally 2 days after my sorority was founded nationally.

Kappa Alpha Theta- Theta has some really awesome alumnae, and my faves are Dian Fossey (Gorillas in the Mist) and Sheryl Crow. I like their colors, since I am a Steelers fan, and their badge is GORGEOUS!

Kappa Delta- This was my first real exposure to sororities. One of my best friends from high school told me at the beginning of freshman year (in college) that she pledged KD. Of course I had no idea what she meant, but she told me all about it, and sparked my interest. I like the dagger on their badge, and the fact that they work closely with the Girl Scouts (Can't start recruiting too early...why not tap into the largest organization for women in the nation?).

Kappa Kappa Gamma- I know several Kappas personally even though we don't have them at my school.

Phi Mu- Phi Mu has pretty colors and the quatrefoil is pretty and unique.

Phi Sigma Sigma- The American Beauty Rose. It makes me think of the best movie ever made.

Pi Beta Phi- Jennifer Garner! I also like the colors and arrow badge, esp the one with garnets and aquamarine!

Sigma Delta Tau- Their jewel is very unique--lapis lazuli.

Sigma Kappa- I must say I am a bit partial, because this is my sorority! So obviously, I love everything about it. Fun fact for the non-SKs out there though--Sarah Weddington aka "Jane Roe's" attorney in Roe v. Wade, a Sigma Kappa, was the youngest woman to argue and win a supreme court case! Regardless of your stance on abortion, that is something to be proud of.

Sigma Sigma Sigma- I think it's interesting that a lot of their symbols are the same as us (Sigma Kappa), and similar colors. Triangle badge, pearl, violet, shades of purple, Triangle magazine...it makes me wonder if by some strange coincedence their ritual is similar to ours. I love the skull on the badge. Very Pirates. I could see the box being ful of TriSigma badges in stead of gold coins.

Theta Phi Alpha- Penguins are AWESOME, and my little's friend from HS is a Theta Phi.

Zeta Tau Alpha- One thing that I think is cute about Zeta is that they refer to COR events as "crown" events. Crown chair, crown event, we crowned a girl during informal recruitment, etc. Also, I saw one of their badges, the one in WG with pink sapphires...wow! Also, two Zetas that I met during my first semester influenced me to go through recruitment. Turquoise is one of my favorite colors.
