First of all, a HUGE congratulations to southernyankee and her daughter - I am absolutely ecstatic that it all worked out in the end for both mom and daughter!

Second, every PNM should read this thread because it's a textbook example of how to maximize your chances. Southernyankee and her daughter did everything the way it should have been done:
- prepared ahead of time with recs/resumes/thank you notes
- went into it with a completely open mind
- went into it with a great attitude of have fun, and make the best of the situation and be realistic
- recognized that if she didn't get a bid, she'd still be okay
- maximized her opportunities and went to every invite available
- had favorites but didn't bolt when some of them cut her
- went to pref willing to give both houses a chance
- saw the positive side of each house and
- would have been happy with any bid

THAT's how you go through rush!

Southernyankee: you can let your breath out now! And - geek that I am - I checked the national Pi Phi website and there's an on-line store so you can now start buying lots and lots of Pi Phi stuff. If they have a catalog, be sure to get one - you'll just ooooh and aaaah over all the cute stuff.

Two quick questions: how did her roommate do? and what sorority is your other daughter in?

Again - congrats!
