No way. Not only will a new mom go nuts, but the germ thing doesn't really make sense. Most babies are born in hospitals and exposed to who knows how many germs. Well baby checkups usually begin right away and you have no idea what is lurking at a pediatricians office
And that first bit of colostrum and subsequent mature milk can do some amazing things for baby.
