My point was that there has been a very strong association with the Confederate flag and what people use it to represent. Like I said, it is a flag like any other, but an ideology has been linked to the Confederate flag. And it's that ideology that people protest when they see the Confederate flag.

I think many people misunderstand the purpose of diversity. Learning diversity *does not* mean you
have to love someone of another ethnicity, but just understand where they are coming from - why they are the way they are. I think I get why the Klan are the way they are, I don't love them, but I do try to understand their perspective. I don't agree with it, but I do try to understand.
