I would disagree in the case of Ohio State in terms of loud. Having been on the sidelines at many stadiums, the "deck" concept of construction at Ohio Stadium brings many more fans closer to the sidelines (true of all "decked" stadiums, by the way), and for rivalries like Michigan and other big national opponents, it can be deafining on the sidelines. And electric.

To throw another considerations into the mix, though, my favorite stadiums and fans tend to be in the schools that are not big time football factories where a huge percentage of the crowd is older alumni based. I like the smaller schools where the crowds are more student centered and completely nuts.
