Zeta Alpha - The Ohio State University

Okay, this is a terrible picture of our house. The Zeta Alpha Chi Omega house is at 14th & Indianola right in the Greek Row area (across the street from Phi Kappa Psi, next to Beta Theta Pi, diagonal from Phi Kappa Tau, and close to many other fraternities and sororities). 47 girls live in the house, but there are 98 actives. (Ohio State has a cap on number of girls in the sorority-100) There are 24 rooms - 1 single for the President and 23 doubles. On the first floor there is a nice foyer with a beautiful chandelier, grandfather clock, and the stairs to the second floor. To the left of the foyer, there is the formal and the informal. The informal was recently redecorated and has big leather couches and a flat screen big screen TV. The formal is currently being redecorated this summer. The formal has a big fireplace, lots of couches and easy chairs, a baby-grand piano, and a big window facing Indianola. Behind the informal and formal, there is a small bathroom and the Town-Girls room which had to be used as the Presidents' room this past school year because 57 girls lived in. There is also a mail room on that side of the foyer. On the other side, there is a a coat room which connects to a powder room with a gigantic mirror and chairs which connects to a bathroom with lots of stalls. Next door to the coat room is the House Mom's living area. Across the hall is the dining room with 5 huge tables. The dining room seats a majority of the chapter. The dining room has glass doors leading to the outside where you will find steps to our sundeck and a parking lot that has enough spots for all of the girls who are living in (only sorority on campus that has that!). In the basement we have our chapter room, vending machines, and a laundry room with several washers and dryers. The second floor has a total of 19 rooms, 11 on one wing and 8 on the other. Every room comes with two beds, a closet, a desk, and a dresser. The room decor varies between rooms. (Examples: My room has regular twin xl beds and dark wood furniture, the room across the hall has bunk beds and white furniture, the room next to that has regular twin xl beds and white furniture.) There are two large bathrooms with numerous stalls, sinks, and showers. There is a lounge on the wing with 8 rooms that has a huge couch, table and chairs, desk area, stove, microwave, fridge/freezer, and a big screen TV that we bought with the money we won for winning Greek Week this year. The third floor has 5 bedrooms, each with 2 beds, 2 closests, a desk, and a dresser. The third floor is mainly seniors or upperclassmen who have executive positions. They have a bathroom with 3 stalls and 2 showers. The 3rd floor lounge has a tv, couches, window seat, fridge, microwave, and stove. The entire house has wireless internet, too! Well... thats a pretty indepth look at our house! I thought I'd give it justice since the picture doesn't!
