SSS1365-
I'm right there with ya. I personally love my organization. I am very proud of the fact that we don't have OOOOOOODDDDLLLEEESS of chapters, one at virtually every college and university. Our Executive Officers are quite selective, and always have been, concerning the schools they choose to grant a chapter. A sister of mine that graduated last year is in graduate school and works for the Greek Life office at a school that used to have a Sigma chapter. The university is begging our EO to reinstate, but we refuse until the system is cleaned up. Mind you, this is a large school with a well known, popular Greek system. Women who remain unplaced simply due to the large number rushing (yes, I said that, forgive me for not taking the time to think of something pc...it's early) are the ones most of us would KILL to have in our chapters. However, the Greek Admin there do not have values consistent with our own. I have heard of several other campuses that will only allow Sigmas because they know us to be women of character.
That said, I think it is sad to say that our chapters have somewhat of the same reputation everywhere...we all know what I mean. It is so funny, because 90% of the women in my chapter do not fit it. Just easy to say because it rhymes. (Take me for example-5'6'', 128...
