I think it's funny that you see it as "Southern superiority", the truth of it is that we simply are quite discriminating on who we believe to be friends. I will simply not accept a "friend", who couldn't act properly in front of adults or swore profusely in public (somewhat redundant). I choose friends who will and do act like professionals in every situation, even when we are partying. I will not accept a friend who wears jean shorts, trucker hats, and Abercrombie shirts because he will not go anywhere! It is simple to buy regular non-cargo shorts, a cheap but efficient hat, and polos. It does not require money.

That's acceptable, it's a lonely convention if I'm not with the UGA, Bama, Auburn, Tx Tech, and Ole Miss brothers there, because they feel the exact same way. I can't even consider being brothers with "New Jersey Tech" (probably not even a real college, but wouldn't be suprised). It seems that the majority of the board is content with having mediocre connections, irreverent brothers and absolutely disgusting manners which some Sig Ep cotillion teacher finally had to teach them (saw it on the news, felt sorry for them that they graduated high school with no manners).
