Yeah, I mean, in the south, I think when you're away from your school you have loyalty with other chapters on your planet. Lets say my chapter and a rival fraternity on our campus were somewhere up north...we'd probably end up hanging around with the other Auburn guys as opposed to our chapter at the northern school. Its just different. In other parts of the country, they really feel like they are brothers with anyone who wears their letters. While I would help our brothers out, etc., if they don't share our background or ideals, I really don't have any special desire to hang out with them. We actually got a call from a regional director one time because we were at another school, and weren't hanging out with our chapter there. Some of the brothers from our fraternity had seen us hanging out at the KA house there, and got pissed and told the director about it. Its just awkward when we're at convention and some guys come up and are like, hey we're having a keg party at ______, and we're like, nah, us ole miss and UGA are gonna go to the bar...
