Sessions were 4 weeks long and my mom's birthday is in the summer, so I ended up writing about 9 letters to my parents each summer. At Hi Rock the canteen was on a debit program, no letter writing involved. I didn't write home for about 2.5 weeks. My Jewish mother called the camp director in hysterics asking what they were doing to me that I was so miserable and didn't want to write home. I tried to explain to her that when you don't write home, it's a good thing.

haha...yeah, there is a weekly letter requirement b/c it's a full summer camp (2 months) with parent visiting weekend about halfway through. Although some of the kids were so weird in the letters that camp office got calls anyway. I think the kids also got one phone call before parent visiting and one after. Those were fun times...kids get so homesick!
