If a girl goes through and decides for whatever reason that Greek life isn't for her, she can sign her preference card as Independent, meaning she does not wish to receive a bid from any sorority. Which, after the final round, can be really heartbreaking to a sorority who had been actively courting her, but such is mutual selection. Being local, we run a mashed up sort of modified NPC type of recruitment with some peculiarities, this is one of them.
