Phi Beta doesn't have an official mascot. I know our
Beta Zeta chapter in Boston uses the alligator (it's fun to say "Beta Zeta Gators!)
My old chapter voted last year to use the Penguin as their local mascot. There's also this
giant stuffed snake that gets passed down every year to members. It has a name I can't reveal, but the new members all get to go find it during pledging. Sort of an unofficial local mascot.
One more interesting thing, our national flower is the American Beauty rose, which is red. However, most of the chapters have used the yellow rose for
years. We gues it's because our colors are violet and gold, so you can tie a purple ribbon around a yellow rose, and there you are!
