Even if you haven't been through recruitment, you did pledge somewhere last year and depledge (i'm guessing it was through COB as you say you haven't been through recruitment). I knew it wasn't crazy thinking it, and that's why I assumed (correctly or incorrectly) from your post that you would be thinking of skipping the house that you had pledged.
I think you are a rather well-informed PNM, much much much moreso that probably nearly anyone else going through. You know what chips are stacked against you, and there's not much of anything you can do to change those things. So relax, stop worrying, because as they say, worrying is like a rocking chair- it's something to do, but doesn't get you anywhere.
