Personally, both Star and Rosie annoy me, and I wouldn't watch The View unless someone put a gun to my head. I do think, though, as unfair as it might be, things like this happen all the time in the media and showbiz. We just don't always hear about them.

Exactly. If you're famous, people are going to talk about you and will have something to say every time you do anything. That's just how it is, whether people think it's nice or appropriate or whatever.
Personally, I don't think being on a crappy show like The View makes someone "worthy" of all the publicity Star Jones gets -- apparently it does, though. Also, Star certainly called all kinds of attention to herself when she pimped out her wedding like she did -- so I'm not going to feel bad about it if someone who thrusts herself into the spotlight ends up having people talk crap about her on the internet.
