She is only a legacy to
Alpha Phi. She has an aunt that is
Alpha Chi Omega and another aunt that is
Kappa Alpha Theta. Those two groups may or may not be on this particular campus. Both aunts have been completely silent on the subject as their own daughters did not choose to affiliate when they went off to school. I hope to Alum Initiate both of them sometime in the future. Is that wrong?
I know enough about this particular Alpha Phi chapter to say that I am confident in their ability to attract her regardless of her legacy status. I am also confident enough in her to be attractive to any group on campus, legacy status or not. I mostly want her to have this experience. I'm sure that when the actual time comes that I will be in recruitment hell if she expresses any interest in any other chapter. But, these emotions pass. If she has a huge smile on her face on Bid Day ... that will make me very happy for her. A mixed answer, but I suspect it is how we all feel when a legacy relative goes through recruitment.
