She made the announcement 2 days early. How did that really alter/damage the show or the other cohosts??? The show easily operates w/1 less person, so her not returning wouldn't cause the show to not aire the following 2 days. Clearly they pulled together the new intro in no time. Her making the announcement early is not that big of a deal.
The show had already shyted on her by not renewing her contract, and then not having the balls to admit that they were giving her the shaft. Why shouldn't she leave on her own terms?? Maybe sitting there bullshyting like everything was alright just got to be too much for her. All that she did was announce her departure (in a respectful and vague way). Its not like she cussed Barbara out, poisioned their coffee, and kicked them in the shins. Sheesh!
The bottom line is that if everyone didn't have such a big problem with her as an individual, then her exit wouldn't even be an issue. No one would have had a problem with Meredith or Elisabeth making an early announcement about their departure.
