Not exactly. Public prayer
for the purpose of being seen by others is condemned. The admonition in the Sermon on the Mount to pray in private is preceeded by: "Beware practicing your piety before others in order to be seen by them; for then you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. . . . And when you pray, do not stand like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, so that they may be seen by others."
Query whether praying in your car is public praying, even if you know that cameras are recording it.
Regardless, it did not endear me to them.
