Actually, here in NC, Corporal Punishment is still allowed at the State Level. However, at the county level it's been outlawed in many places (like the county I teach in - Wake)...but there ARE still schools in NC that do practice slaps on the hands, etc. Most of these schools (suprise, suprise) are in very rural areas.
