If you have a police report and can prove that the item is yours, then yes you can usually get it back. I know that a couple of our members have done that but I'm not realy sure the whole process they had to go through or the length of time it took.

Each individual GLO would have their own way of checking for badges on ebay (if they even have one) and that would be something that (I would hope) the members of that group would know about. But I also know that it's been almost 4 years since we started our group and some of our members still don't know we exist or what the procedure is (or what we rescue - i.e., they think we buy everything that shows up).
