Disaffiliate as in Panhellenic and/or recruitment purposes or disaffiliate as in terminating your membership permanently? If it's the first it's a local thing and the procedure is probably routine. You'll pay dues and remain on the roster while not being penalized for missing meetings or events during the disaffiliation period. If it's the second, you probably should contact your local chapter standards officer before making any decisions.
