My cousin Theresa ("Tess") had to have an emergency cesarian both to try to save her and her daughter's lives. Sadly Rebecca died in the womb during labour and even though they worked on her for over an hour, were unable to revive her.
My whole family was distraught and about 700 people turned up for her funeral, because everyone had been overjoyed that Tess was having a baby after all of the hardships she'd gone through, with her horse-riding and private life.
So yeah....you do mourn.....
