Fantastic guess. I don't recall ever attended a regular LCMS service (I know I've gone to weddings but those are always a little different) and I think ELCA is like Catholic-Lite. They are VERY into sola scriptura. They also think the Catholic church is a cult and the Pope is the antiChrist, so you know, not quite so mainstream as your kind of Lutheran.
