And just for the record, I fully support the Dixie Chicks and what they said. I agree with PhiMuAmberkins- I support the actual troops, not the reason they are fighting in the first place.

I couldn't agree more.
I think the reason people became so pissed is because they are famous and very public people and I think some just assume that these women should just make their music and "keep their mouths shut" when it comes to politics. Which is just completely ignorant.
Like you said they are American and the have the fundemental right of freedome of speech. Just because they are famous doesn't mean the right suddenly disappears.
I too definately support the troops. My brother is in the National Guard and spent a year overseas, I just don't support the war. They are two different things. My brother didn't want to go over there, but he knew he was doing his job, doesn't mean he liked it.
I'm so excited about their new album. It is on ITunes but I haven't had a chance to listen to any of the songs. Are they good? My absolute fave songs from them are Goodbye Earl and Travelin' Soldier
