Personally, I don't give a damn if the guy is harmed in jail. If he hadn't broken the law, then he wouldn't be in the position of going to jail in the first place. And the fact that he committed a crime against a child makes the judge's ruling even more asinine. As a mother, I would be absolutely outraged if this happened in my area.
Keep him in isolation if his small stature is that "big" of a problem. Releasing him on probation, even with electronic monitoring, is doing a huge disservice to the community.
