I don't like every movie. I've panned most I've seen in the past 6 months.
I loved this book. I had high hopes for the movie. I was worried yesterday when reports from Cannes started filtering in as I was set to see a media screening here in LA last night.
I enjoyed it. Was it perfect, no. Was is interesting, yes. Was it faithful to the book? yes.
But it was 1/2 an hour too long.
