It all depends on the school - if this is one of those schools where not participating in Greek Week is tantamount to killing puppies, a fraternity that doesn't do so is going to die out very quickly. At other schools (including mine) there were fraternities that kept to themselves and no one cared. It's all about the campus culture.
My point is that if you aren't going to take advantage of the things the Greek system has to offer, why go to the trouble of colonizing a national group and paying the inflated dues? I'm not saying it's wrong to want to keep to yourselves if you want, I just don't see what the point is here when it seems like they are already a "fraternity."
