Joan's cell phone was dead - that's why she couldn't call William. I still don't know how she got that cab...

All I kept thinking was, "How the so-called 'it girl' has fallen..." Why oh why was she so gung ho to go to a party where she didn't know anyone and none of her friends would be there? She was lookin' real stupid. When dude asked, "do you have any friends?", I almost felt bad for her. ALMOST.

And I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought this...when she was drunk sitting on those steps, she looked JUST LIKE her mama when she was in that bathroom in "Lady Sings the Blues". All Joan needed was a belt and a syringe... And when she was dancing, and then sitting there with her make-up all messed up, she looked just like Mahogany after that wild party...I almost expected her to say, "I'm a winner, baby!" Then they could've had Wayne Brady tell her, "Success is NOTHING without someone you love to share it with!!" (but of course he ain't no Billy Dee...)

It was almost painful to watch. ALMOST. I LOVE LOVE LOVED when Wayne Brady totally busted on her! I've been in a situation before where I got to crack on an ex like that, and wowser, it feels GOOD! I mean, when he walked up on Joan lookin' like shyt, it just tickled me. So I was feelin' Wayne - it was like he was in the batter's box and a pitcher was just throwing 'em down the middle of the plate...and he kept KNOCKING them out the park! Loved it! Esp..."WE AIN'T FRIENDS." I giggled.

And every second you thought it couldn't get worse...it did. I can't believe she showed up in court lookin' (and I'm sure smellin') like that. She blew it. She is a therapist's dream...someone with a PsyD is going to make millions on her. I mean, if that wasn't rock bottom, I don't know what is.

As for the rest...the whole Toni/Todd/baby storyline - saw that coming a mile away. It was no surprise. Neither was the Darnell/Maya deal. And trust, Maya ain't leavin' LA - she ain't leavin' her mama...or her hairstylist Peaches.

I'm disappointed in William tho. Monica was wack and a golddigger. He's just desperate to be with anyone...

I think they did the finale like that just in case Girlfriends doesn't make it through the UPN/WB merge.
