Don't feel bad!!!! You know, despite all of the dire predictions being made about this current teen-college generation (what are they calling it, Gen-Y?) I think that they are starting to wake up to all the crap going on in our screwed-up society and are reacting to it in positive ways. It seems to me that because things got so way-out for awhile, these kids are taking sex and their bodies a little more seriously than we did.....granted, in this age of rampant STDs and AIDS, not to mention date-rape drugs, they kind of have to in ways we did not. But all in all I would say that these kids are a lot smarter than their parents' generation gives threm credit for. Not to suggest that they aren't out there gettin' theirs, because obviously from some of these posts they are!!!!!
But I don't think that the levels of experimentation are able to be taken for granted the way they were in the 80s when we older gen-xers came of age.
OK....enough responsible mom-talk.....I knew someone was going to bring up travelling the old dusty road!!!! Now you all know me, far better and more intimately than I had ever planned
so you KNOW I give everything a fair shake....perhaps I am crazy, perhaps I am just truly tight-assed!!!! But the only commentary I can truly offer from my own experience on the subject is:
"AAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHH! OW!! OW!!! OOOOOOOWWWWW! GET IT OUT!!! GET IT OUT!!!!"
