I recommend the XBOX because it is leaps and bounds better than the playstation 2. The xbox can play dvds but you have to buy the $30 remote control to play them but it is well worth it because it plays dvds so much better than playstation 2. The xbox also has a hard drive and ethernet connection in it so it can hook up to high speed internet access. The xbox can even be hooked up to your dorm rooms internet access to play video games online in the future. Also the xbox costs $330 ( I am including the cost of the dvd remote control the system itself costs $300 the same as the playstation 2) There is also some sweet games on the system as well like Halo and Project Gotham Racing. Overall I highly recommend the xbox over the playstation 2 because you get more bang for your buck with the dvd capablities, hard drive, and ethernet connection. Last thing with the hard drive you can rip cds on to the hard drive and play them on the xbox. Go to
