That's awesome. Light years ahead of where we were in '99. It took us 3 damned years to get our charter. The Pikes took 1 semester to get approved -- of course, they had something like five consultants on-site.
1 year though -- that is amazing. If you can do that, Rock Chapter is well within your reach. You'll find that if IHQ grants you a charter, that almost guarantees you're well into (what I'd estimate) is the 75th percentile of our chapters. Considering you're at a nice ACC school with wealthy alums, you'll be just fine.
